Last time I was at the Brooklyn Flea, I fell in love with these fabulous chairs from The Divine Chair Company. I love how puffy they are and the fabrics are fantastic. They also have names, like Dolly, Stiff Upper Lip and Paulie.

I'm in sunny LA, looking out over the ocean, watching the surfers. I often wonder if I'm on the wrong coast, even as much as I love New York, I feel like the lifestyle here is so healthy; the gorgeous food, everyone with their shiny white teeth, healthy ocean glow etc...But I know once I get back, I'll resume my love affair with the Big Apple.

John Hughes

Following on the movie theme, I heard this morning on NPR that John Hughes died. Anyone who was born in the 70's might/should recall the seminal films of teenage angst; Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Pretty in Pink and the list goes on. What a talent!

Cool interiors

How fabulous are these lovely images, such stylish & unique interiors, they are from another age. I was pleasantly surprised to see one of the featured interiors is from a blog I really enjoy, Hollister Hovey. Each interior profiled had such a twist to collecting, yet there was this common denominator that I cant quite put my finger on that linked they all together. 

Dear Summer, 

I love you deeply.  I love seeing my family and going blueberry picking, I love swimming in cool lakes and drinking cold beer. I love corn, BBQ and long days. I love the blue sky, cool mornings, summer dresses and the windows down.
